5 Categories Of People At The Airport

Springers24 shares 5 types of people you meet at the airport. 1. The First Time Flyers They typically get swept off in the enthusiasm of their first flight experience. They are sometimes clueless about certain aspects relating to the flight (which is fine, since it’s their first time and we’ve all been there) and they sometimes have a lot of questions to ask. Some also tend to get excited about random events relating to the flight. They may or may not get scared or hysterical at every turbulence and they’re the only people paying attention when there’s a safety briefing on the plane. 2. The Late People They are those who are never on time for a flight, whose names are constantly being announced a few minutes before departure. Sometimes, they get left behind and sometimes they make the call, appearing suddenly on the plane, looking stressed and/or panting and breathing heavily from having run all the way. 3. The Seasoned Travellers These guys are fazed by nothing and

Terror guides and bomb-making manuals openly available on social media

Manuals on making terror devices, including nail bombs and the chemical agent ricin, have been found to be openly available on Facebook and YouTube. MTN Group could be acquiring MultiChoice Africa soon

MultiChoice Africa is reportedly in talks with the MTN Group over its possible acquisition. With a presence in 49 African countries, MultiChoice is the company behind popular video entertainment and internet brands like DStv, GOtv, Africa Magic and MWEB, South Africa’s second largest internet provider. It is not immediately clear why MTN would be interested in acquiring MultiChoice, given that the former has almost 50 times the subscriber base of the later. MultiChoice has a meagre subscriber base of only about five million while MTN has over 230 million subscribers (35% of which originate from Nigeria). However, MTN’s reach extends to only 20 African countries so this might present an opportunity to spread its tentacles quickly. Beyond the potential wider reach for MTN however, there is also the more obvious content play opportunity. Just a few weeks earlier, MultiChoice was reportedly working out a possible partnership  with MTN towards providing content for sma

Chibok girls: 82 reunited with families in Nigeria

The fate of the Chibok girls     In April 2014 Islamist militants kidnapped 276 girls from their school in Chibok in north-eastern Nigeria. This month dozens were released. But when will the rest be free? It was 14 April 2014 when the militants came to take them. They were sleeping in their dormitory at Chibok Girls’ Secondary School, with many having come from distant villages to take exams. Then Boko Haram struck. Altogether 276 girls were kidnapped. The Islamist militant group had terrorised the north-eastern corner of Nigeria since a wave of attacks in 2009. They had kidnapped many girls and women before in a conflict that hadn’t garnered significant worldwide attention, but this time was different. A massive social-media driven campaign followed under the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls. Michelle Obama was among the slew of famous people who endorsed it. But what happened to the girls?      A worldwide social media ca
